Common Birch (Tree Bud Extract) Betula pubescens

Common Birch is used in full dose in Stage 3 for all adults to harmonize blood formula, for women during perimenopause/menopause, and for all aging adults to protect against loss of minerals.

These medium- to large-height trees provide their buds for the preparation of Gemmotherapy Extracts. Very common in Europe and Scandinavian countries, they can be easily recognized from afar by their generally rhomboid-shaped leaves and their white bark. This pioneer tree colonizes uncultivated and humid lands and prefers cold climates. It grows on acidic soils, poor in bases, waterlogged with water and fossil organic matter. It can reach 75 feet (25 meters) in height. By creating humus, it regenerates damaged land and encourages the establishment of other species. Its waterproof and rot-proof bark has been used for the manufacture of house tiles and boats. Water plants care for the water in the body. Common Birch is often confused with Silver Birch. They are not the same species and the actions in gemmotherapy are somewhat different. The confusion comes from the fact that for a long time the two species were considered as one, under the name Betula alba. This name should no longer be used because it is confusing. For this reason, the traditional uses are the same as those of the Silver Birch.
