In the Restoring Immunity System:
Ivy is used in full dose in Stage 3 to restore degenerative conditions in hands and feet including deformities; and for acute injuries of the hand and foot-small bones, ligaments and tendons.
The young shoots of this liana are the source of the Ivy gemmotherapy extract.
The plant, native to Central and Eastern Asia, was collected in Japan by John Gould Veitch in 1860. Its distribution area includes Japan, China and Korea. It was introduced in Europe in 1908 for decorative purposes.
Fast-growing, vigorous climber, Ivy is using tendrils equipped with adhesive suction cups to take hold of walls or fences without damaging its support.
It can be invasive taking over space, takes hold and is difficult to remove. It is satisfied with ordinary, humid soil, rather rich in humus and with a neutral pH. It can withstand temperatures down to -13°F ( -25°C). Very decorative, it is appreciated for the beauty of its foliage, which takes on a light yellow – golden and then red-purple coloring in autumn.
Ivy has a great flexibility in its development.
