In the Restoring Immunity System:

Red Raspberry is seldom used in the Restoring Immunity system because it’s the symptoms it addresses are resolved by other extracts. It can however play a role in protocols in stage 3 when symptoms linger.

The young shoots of this shrub with considerable survivability are used for the preparation of the Raspberry Gemmotherapy Extract. Present throughout the cold and temperate zone of the boreal hemisphere, from the plains to the mountains, the raspberry is very common in woods, thickets, clearings and edges. It grows on degraded land, rich in acidic organic matter and poorly mineralized. It is a pioneer plant that improves acidic soils. It likes to be associated with hawthorn, hazelnut, blackthorn and dog rose. Its rhizome is short and creeping from which stems up to 2 meters high depart. The biannual plant reproduces from suckers that arise from the roots. In the first year, the plant develops its stems and leaves. In the second year, it develops the stems, leaves, flowers and fruits and then dies leaving room for new shoots.

The Neolithic populations already collected wild raspberries. These delicious and very fragrant fruits are rich in vitamins, especially C, manganese, copper and iron. Raspberry’s leaves, very rich in tannins, are used in herbalism as astringent and anti-diarrhea, in the disorders of the menstrual cycle and to facilitate the contractions of childbirth.
